Kindness act overwhelms girlfriend

AN army girlfriend has been overwhelmed by the kindness of a stranger after a random act of appreciation.

An anonymous do-gooder left a kind note and $40 on the windshield of a serviceman’s loved one in a Dunkin' Donuts parking lot on Sunday.

Samantha Ford emerged from the donut store to find a hand-written note on the back of a white envelope with two $20 bills inside.

Overwhelmed with emotion, she shared the gesture on Facebook.

"I just thought I would share with you all what happened to me today!" she wrote.

"Came out of Dunkin Donuts and found this under my windshield wiper.

"There are no words to describe how I'm feeling right now.

"Tears in my eyes.

"I just wish I could thank whoever did this!

"God bless our troops and all of those who stand behind them."

The mother-of-two, who lives outside of Boston, shared a photo of the note and the cash on the Facebook page

"Our Deployment: 101".

"I noticed the sticker on the back of your car," it said, referring to a "Half my Heart is in Afghanistan" bumper sticker.

"Take your hero out to dinner when he comes home.

"Thank you both for serving.

"Him deployed and you for waiting."

It was signed "United States veteran" and "God Bless."

The original post has been "liked" more than 1,700,000, has been shared almost 220,000 times and has attracted about 50,000 comments.

"It was crazy!!" Ford said in an email to TODAY.com.

She said she had told her boyfriend about the gesture.

"He was so touched, and he said it's people like this that make him proud to be an American Soldier," she said.

"We are forever grateful and we will DEFINITELY be paying it forward! God bless our troops!"

According to TODAY.com, her deployed boyfriend, Albert DeSimone, is assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 7th Infantry Regiment, 1st Armor Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division based in Fort Stewart, Georgia.

Ford also said she hopes the photo will inspire others to appreciate the country's military.

"They are all heroes," she said.

"I just happen to be in love with one."

PRINCE Harry has a new girlfriend, but very little is known about the Cressida Bonas, the latest pretty young thing to have caught the Prince's eye.

The pair were spotted cuddling on the ski slopes of an exclusive ski resort in Verbier, Switzerland earlier this week.

It was her 24th birthday and the couple joined Prince Andrew, his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson, and their fashion infamous daughters Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie on the slopes.

"They are definitely dating, but it is not serious," a mutual friend of the pair told E! Online. "They have known each other a while, but only recently has it turned into more than friendship. They are not exclusive though, just having fun."

It's the first time Prince Harry has been spotted in publicly embracing a new squeeze since splitting with former flame Chelsy Davy in 2010.

Prince Harry was first linked with Bonas in mid-2012.

But in August it was reported she'd dumped the third-in-line to the royal throne following his nude antics in Las Vegas.

Some suggested she felt humiliated following the release of naked pictures of Prince Harry partying with other women in Sin City.

Wednesday's ski-slope hug followed a more private display of affection at an up-market restaurant in the Swiss ski resort of Verbier.

"Cressida climbed on to Harry's knee," a fellow diner told The Sun.

"He started softly rubbing her hair then they began kissing.

"It was quite passionate - much more than a peck on the lips."
